Interview with Jason


JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Jason: Yes there were three phones in each pod for approximantly 50 inmates and you could use the phone any time you wernt locked down in your cell.

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people?
Jason: the charges were a bit outragous. you had to make the call collect. the phone company would then charge about $4.00 per call to who ever was recieving the call. you were limited to fifteen minutes per call.

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Jason: no

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Jason: Yes i believe every phone call was monitered
